I think that working with videos is a great opportunity for students to practice their speaking skills while they have fun. Last year, as it was election time in Brazil, I asked my High School students to record a video to present their proposals as politicians. All the students had to appear in the video and say something, and they could participate as candidates, as interviwers or any other role they chose.
This activity was a success, as most students loved the idea of being candidates, and we had a lot of fun watching the videos in class. Besides, I think it was a nice opportunity for students to get more interested in politics. The video should last from 2 to 5 minutes.
